Out of curiosity, when the government hires you for this kind of removal, do they give you certain things that these looter’s dont? Specifically like, times that you can go and get things safely. Maybe even equipment for protection against things which might explode?

We had some ” …
We had some “scrappers” in 1990 come on to 29 Palms and cleaned out 3 full dud pits. $8 million in ammunition , explosive, and other ordinance. The dud pit is where unused not misfires are thrown into to be blown up. Once a crate is opened it cannot be returned to the magazine. This happens all the time. They made off with something like 30 AT-4’s and God knows what else.

They don’t test any …
They don’t test any of that on this range. Purely conventional explosives. If they were testing it, there is no way in those guys would be able to set foot on the range without being sniped by guards. They don’t want terrorists going to our testing facilities to get chemical components for WMDs.
